Why Are We

Featuring the work of celebrated Irish artist Bernie Leahy

Through her art, Leahy picks apart visceral human connections, finding and laying bare the vulnerability in each chosen subject matter. In this exhibition, she has created an evocative series of stitched drawings and small sculptures, embodied with a variety of media including gold leaf, uncut diamonds and acrylic on linen and canvas.

The exhibition will launch on Monday 10th September with a reception and talk with the artist at 5:30pm. It will then run until Friday 14th December. Gallery hours are 10am – 6pm, Monday – Friday. Appointments to view the exhibit can be made by calling Irish Arts Center on +1 212-757-3318, or via email at info@irishartscenter.org.
