A visit to The Makers House in Wexford is a unique experience.  Where else would you see the work of sixteen local Designer Makers and meet with them, talk about their ideas and inspiration? 

See our stunning range of art, candles, ceramics, environmental art, enamel, glass, herbal soaps & balms, jewellery, leatherwork, metalwork,  painting, photography, pottery, printmaking, sculpture, seaglass, stained glass.

Take the opportunity to Meet The Makers.  As we run the gallery ourselves one of us is there every day – and not just for August.  We have a full programme of activities throughout the month

Demonstration of willow basketry techniques.
Dave will demonstrate frame basketry in the form of a willow boat.
Trish will demonstrate the Stake and Strand Method in the form of a bird feeder.

Mary Wallace


Mary will demonstrate various techniques which she uses in her artwork.  Application of gold leaf using pure gold.  Wax resist - creating colourful patterns and textures with surprising results.

Demonstration of Stained Glass using the Tiffany copper foil method and a brief history of this technique.

Annette Byrne jewellery workshop


Annette Byrne talks about sharing and keeping sentimental family jewellery. Her knowledge about semi precious stones, their meanings, birth months will inspire you. The power of colour,  adding symbolism and upcycling your jewellery pieces.  She will demonstrate how to make an earring.

Participatory aspect

In general our events are free, walk-in with no booking required. The exception is Ann Kenny's workshop on Sunday 1st August which must be booked in advance directly with Ann by email [email protected]

All events are suitable for children and families. Maximum 12 people per event
