Reduce, Reuse, Recycle - Up-cycling Clothing

This 10-week programme is designed for those with an interest in sustainable fashion and recycling garments - suitable for beginners.

Entry Requirements: This programme is designed for those with an interest in sustainable fashion and recycling garments. This is a beginner’s course.

Content: Content will include an introduction to the history of recycling garments, an introduction to design development, basic draping skills, basic sewing skills, and techniques in up-cycling and transforming materials and textiles.
Students will transform their own selected garment/garments into a complete look by the end of the course.

Duration:  10 weeks, 1 night per week Tuesdays from 7.00pm – 9.00pm. Commencing Tuesday 31st January 2012. This programme will take place at the School of Art & Design, Clare Street Campus.
