Absolutely Wicklow is an initiative of Wicklow County Arts Office supported by the County Enterprise Board, the Crafts Council and Bray Town Council. Absolutely Wicklow has been created to showcase some of the high end handmade crafts that are exclusively made in County Wicklow. It involved the setting up the website www.absolutelywicklow.ie where the public can get in touch with makers directly and browse large collections of their work, and a retail store opening on 19th November at the old Heritage Centre in Bray beside the Royal Hotel.
Absolutely Wicklow features a wide range of products currently in the categories of Millinery, Woodworking and Furnituremaking, Metalwork, Ceramics, and Textiles. Within this there is huge diversity of styles and functionality, some pieces are just designed to be plain beautiful!
So whether you require a headpiece for that day at the races, a wedding gift, a beautiful object for your home, Christmas or other seasonal presents or children’s clothes Absolutely Wicklow is the place to find them.
